Very handy compared to hammer-only belt ring
While I need my hammer on my belt, I often need an exacto knife, screwdriver(s), and a marker. Your mix may vary, but this simple holder saves you countless trips back to the tool box and time spent searching around the workspace or in pockets. It also allows you to either hook it over your pants/belt or put the belt through it for more security. This is built tough and shows almost zero wear after several sweaty and high impact days of demolition. Some of the lower ratings for this product indicate that it falls apart after some hard use. My input is based only on one week of hard use -- but there is zero indication of the rips and other issues others have cited. I am a DIY vs Pro, FYI.

Nice for occasionally carrying my hammer while pulling NMC and stapling for rewire and remodel type work. Slips on and off easily, but stays in place. A couple of extra slots for a pencil, wire cutters and a utility knife.I have other products by McGuire-Nicohols. I have no complaints about any of them and they are my first choice when looking for tool and material carriers.
Works well enough but..
This thing works pretty well. The "4 way" system doesn't work as expected since there's nothing rigged within it the pocket option falls straight out if you try to hang a hammer. However On the belt it works well. But I did have the metal hammer bracket bend inside my backpack however that happens so make your own call. It's design is good but Could use a more quality metal hanger for the hammer and add a more rigged backing.
Perfect for work
I work in housekeeping and this comes in handy to hang my glass cleaner on as well as a few other items.
Great at first
Works great for awhile but it tries to hold in the middle of the pocket. This makes it rip on the inside and the flap that is supposed to help with comfort just pokes you in the side. Would be great for a diy person but not a professional.
